The Meaning Behind The TRUTH INFORMED Logo2 min read

Truth Informed Logo

If you have read the About page of Truth Informed, you will remember that our main goal is to provide reasonable, truthful, complete, and biblically sound teachings on everything Christianity—not shying away from the controversial issues and questions. This vision was difficult to put into a Logo that would be as attractive as it was meaningful to all who see it.

After many hours of brainstorming, drafting, designing, and editing on PhotoShop, the Truth Informed Logo was born...and here is what its various parts mean:

  • The most prominent feature is the obvious light Cerulean blue Cross at the center; it is in the style of a medieval banner to symbolize the defense of the Truth.
  • The Cross is made up of the letters "t" and "i" superimposed upon each other, the abbreviation of "Truth Informed." The top dot of the "i" also represents Christ, who is the Head of all.
  • In the center sit the words "Truth Informed" in an ancient Papyrus font to give it a historical appearance.
  • "Truth Informed" can be interpreted in two ways, both of which were on purpose: 1.) The Truth (all truths) is Informed (imparted or communicated) to the people, and 2.) We provide the Truth (all truths) in an Informed (educated or knowledgeable) manner.
  • The words "Truth Informed" lie within two yellow pillars that symbolize a strong foundation (the Cross and truth); the pillars each have three white lines inside them, signifying the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • From the Cross's arms extends a darker, indigo blue ribbon or ring that encircles the rest of the Logo; this suggests that Christ (especially through the Cross) is the Truth, and that all truth is God's truth; also, Christ is what holds all things together, including the Truth regarding Himself and the Scriptures.
  • On the bottom of the dark blue ring appear the words "The Truth Shall Set You Free," taken from John 8:32 (to know what that phrase means, click here); Christ is the truth and He wants us all to be informed of Him and of all the truths found in His Word—this is the goal of Truth Informed.
  • The varying hues of blue and yellow were selected because, psychologically, these colors look appealing to the eye and draw attention when combined together—but also because blues are the author's favorite hues, and yellow represents the Light of Christ, the Light of the world.
  • The vertical part of the Cross and the dark blue ring together form the Greek letter phi (Φ), the first letter in the words philosophia (philosophy—the love of wisdom), and phileo (familial or brotherly love in Greek). These two words represent what Truth Informed is all about: the love of Godly wisdom and His truths, a love for the people of God, and a desire to instill within all people a love of Christ and His Word, which is True.

We hope that our ministry will cause you to want to learn more about God, to study the Scriptures hard, and to know the Truth, Jesus Christ, in a more intimate and full manner. May God bless you all in your walk with the Lord, and may He guide you through His Spirit into all truths concerning Him. Amen.
